Here in .be they reversed the situation.
You have to sign up if you dont want to be a donor.
This setup makes that if you pass away and you never gave up that none can take your organs than the hospital is allowed to do so.

Much much better.

Waiting lists have become MUCH shorter on a short time.

Ive been registered over here for many years.

Its funny I was just discussing (and deriding) the show at work the other day (our version of Big Brother has just started again) Like everybody else we had heard about the show and like everybody else thought it was a step to far but I have to say fantastic to the producers and who ever came up with the idea (and for keeping the hoax secret - which cant have been easy considering the number of people involved and the high level of attention it must have received).

A great way to shock people into seeing the problem instead of just ignoring it

totally agree with you I was at first shocked to discover the show but quickly I realised even a group as edgy as BNN would never do this - so the hoax or publicity stunt was a great idea. Donor shortage is a real problem in NL and I would hate to be the person on a waitinglist for over 4 years while you know your life is running short.

As for the other Endemol programs let us not discuss them - they are disgusting
