Weird Dream

category: Moi

Had a weird dream last night:

Was at my paternal grandparents' apartment - which didn't look like their apartment at all - to visit my grandfather, who has been dead since 1999. As far as I understood he came back to life when my grandmother died (2004). When I checked the apartment for him, he wasn't there, but instead I went outside and up the stairs to another apartment. There he was sleeping in a chair. I woke him up and helped him walk over to the dining area.

My grandfather was very together, totally different from his last years, because at 91 his brain was tired and non-cooperative.

All I can remember is putting my hands on his arms and he smiled.

Then I woke up.

Seems I wasn't the only with a weird dream, Jennifer posted hers here.

Anyone out there who can shed a light on an interpretation of my dream?

Hmm no idea. Maybe you just missed him lately and wanted to be able to spend time with him the him as he was before his last few years?

Not saying for your case but sometimes I really wonder if all dreams have meaning. Some of the dreams I remember having are pretty bizarre. Like one time there was a house that was supposed to be my aunts house but didnt look like her house. Had all kinds of hidden rooms and weird staircases and a scary 3rd floor and as I walked past a hall a giant bunny rabbit (think Easter Bunny walking on 2 feet sort of thing) in a top hat jumped out of a door and scared me. Not sure that one had meaning.

But yours might Have you thought about him lately? Anniversary birthday something you remember doing with him around this time of year?

Dreams dont have a meaning.
Its simply the inner parts of your brains playing tricks on you. It starts to give all your current not filed yet memories and experiences a place in your permanent memory.

@Nieke: I remember you started scanning all those family pics so my bet is that process was still in the non-permanent storage area so you cought that.
Add some of your weird normal thinking as a woman (no offence but as far as I know women think in patterns and jumps way more then men) and you can see how one and one is three.

Just my humble opinion yours may differ.
