Wishlist :)

category: Moi

Actually, this is more a Wish Item :)

As I am saving my money for a (hopefully in the near future) move from a rented room to a rented little house/apartment, I can only wish/hope for a price or a lottery win to buy what I want.

I want a cool, semi-professional camera.

Preferably a Canon (sorry Arancha!).

Prefereably a Canon EOS 350D.

Or a Canon EOS 300D.

Perhaps even a Canon EOS 30D (although this camera is more expensive).

So for all those wealthy people out there ... BIG SMILE!

Me too!

HEY I was just thinking about getting the 350D (here called the Rebel XT, as it says in that picture) too! It's cheaper than the 30D and yet I've heard good things about the picture quality if you get a good lens.

I'm thinking I can justify it because I am getting reimbursed for my not-so-cheap laptop. What do you think? I'm going on a very awesome trip soon, which I haven't mentioned in my blog YET and debating whether I want to take awesome pictures but drag around a 2lb camera (weight w/lens) or have a lighter, more convenient point and shoot but sacrifice pic quality.

What do you think? :)

At the moment, I've borrowed someone's EOS 300D, and I'm in love!
So yes, go for it :)

Well, if you insist! :)

So what lenses have you used with the 300D? Any not TOO expensive ones you've used that you love?

I was thinking perhaps something like this for a nice, multi-purpose travel lens (decent focal range and not TOO heavy/enormous/expensive): Canon EF 28-135mm I was thinking I wouldn't get the camera with the lens kit since that lens isn't supposed to be that great.

So, any recommendations? :)

the borrowed camera came with a 35-105 mm (which I use most often) and a 18-55 mm (which is standard)

Who DOESN'T want such a nice device!!
Would love to have one myself too but then again I am currently wondering ... if I go skiing it's usefull to have a very 'little' camera so I can be quick on getting it out of my pocket and back in to continue the skiing.
Then again I would LOVE to get such a bit REAL camera but I think I don't take pictures enoff to spend money on it.
/me is in doubt there.
