"The bee, from her industry in the summer, eats honey all the winter" [sponsored links: Computer Programming Archive of August 2008Computervirus on board of ISS space stationcategory: Blorrow
One of the topic in the EOS-mailinglist today said that a few computers in the ISS space station are currently infected with a virus. Now here is the moment that I wanted to blog about it cause it's a pretty dangerous and creepy thought that 71 computers in a space station at 321 kilometers above our heads is running on MS Windows AND above all is infected with a worm.

And in the US?
(At least for the US, I think I have covered them all!)(And Utah and Arizona are a bit of a fib: I was at Four Corners USA) (As for New York, I was only in NY NY) New Toycategory: MoiAs of last week, I am the happy owner of an iPod Touch. My first/previous MP3 player had died (it was a Creative Zen Micro), and as I almost always listen to music or audiobooks on the train from and to work, I was desperate to get a new one. After buying an Apple Macbook last year, it was only logical I would buy an iPod next. The iPod Touch proved to be too tempting. Currently it is hard to get one (I wanted the 16GB) in stores here in the Netherlands, probably because Apple will launch a new version somewhere in September/October. After hearing that I should check a certain seller on Ebay, I was happy to find one (32GB), brand new and for the price of a 16GB version. As I had already decided to buy the 16GB I didn't hesitate to bid on this one. It arrived just on time on Saturday, as I was planning to take a 3hr train trip on Monday. Imagine having to sit on the train without music! (Hard to imagine that's what I used to do!) I've already installed the iPod Apps application and I've been also happily downloading vidcasts. It's a great toy, especially when you have unlimited wifi access ;-) If you have an iPhone/iTouch, can you recommend apps I simply cannot live without?

Here I am again, hijacking Nieke's blog once more. The Olympics! Today I spend a whole day watching TV and the special sportshows. WOW. What do I love this time!I live in a very small country, (for the time being) Belgium. We have around 60 athletes at the games which, in compare with USA, is not very much. Nevertheless we are great at what we do and we do live by our athletes much closer. I enjoy it when someone reaches the finals, reaches the 24th place, 16 or any other. It basicly means that you are the 16th best person from the world! Ain't that awesome for such a small country? As mentioned before our soccerteam is really really bad but the -21, which are now at the games, are doing pretty well. We have some good swimmers, sailors, horse riders, and many others.. everytime just one or maybe two single individuals performing at the best they can. From this year on, we even have a hockey team. ;) I am proud that the IOC president is a Belgian guy. I am proud of being a Belgian citizen. Why are you so proud on your country?
